Listen to our parliamentary event “Preventing Disinformation in UK Elections”

You can read about the significant progress of our campaign and donate here. We’ve done all of this on a shoestring and by relying on unpaid volunteers. However, the reality is that ahead of the Elections Bill we really need your help to achieve our campaign goal of making electoral advertising regulation a reality.

Please donate to our campaign if you feel as passionately as we do about the need for electoral ad regulation.

We recently hosted a parliamentary event Preventing Disinformation in UK Elections, bringing together policymakers, industry voices and civil society to discuss how regulation can keep pace as campaigning moves into the AI era.

The discussion featured contributions from Justin Madders MP (Labour), Zoe Franklin MP (Liberal Democrats), Hannah Spencer MP (Green), Emily Darlington MP (Labour), Alex Tait (Reform Political Advertising), George Havenhand (Full Fact) and Baroness Royall of Blaisdon, who chaired the session.

The event explored the growing impact of disinformation, the challenges posed by emerging technologies, and the opportunity presented by the Representation of the People Bill to introduce practical measures to improve transparency and accountability in election advertising.
